Major retailers are joining in a recall of the Nap Nanny baby recliner. Over 150,000 Nap Nanny's have been sold and there have been reports of children falling out and a few infant deaths associated with the seat. Philadelphia manufacturer Baby Matters, LLC closed its doors earlier this year and founder Leslie Gudel, maintains complaints about the Nap Nanny have no merit if the seat is used as instructed.

Philadelphia wants people to recycle Christmas trees instead of putting it out with the trash. The Streets Department is offering environmentally friendly disposal at city recycling centers. For two weeks starting January 7th the sanitation centers in three locations will be accepting trees. Northeast Philly, Southwest Philly and Manayunk. The addresses are State Road and Ashburner Street, 3033 South 63rd Street, and Domino Lane and Umbria Street.

Former President George H.W. Bush has been moved to intensive care at a Houston hospital after a series of setbacks, including a persistent fever. Bush, now 88 years old, was admitted November 23rd for a lingering cough related to bronchitis. Bush is the oldest living former US President. His wife Barbara and other family are by his side.

Weather
Windy and overcast today. 40 degrees in Center City.
