Vineland Church Shooting, Philadelphia Weather Slows Travel, Train Derails in Delaware
  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA
started: 12/26/12 8:29 pm | updated: 12/26/12 8:29 pm
A shooting at Saint Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church Hall in Vineland, New Jersey landed three people in the hospital. Police responded to calls of shots fired at a Christmas party about 1:15 this morning. Police are calling the incident an attempted homicide and are asking for help from tipsters. There is a $1,000 reward. If you can help, call Vineland police at 856-691-0345.

The weather is having a negative impact on travel in the Philadelphia area as well as the Lehigh Valley. Snow, sleet and freezing rain are causing long delays, up to 3 hours at Philadelphia International Airport and Lehigh Valley Airport. Due to the heavy snow and freezing rain conditions, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has reduced speed limits to 45 miles per hour on almost 300 miles of highway.

Another train derailment in our area has caused an evacuation. This time in Sussex County, Delaware five cars carrying gravel and propane came off the tracks just south of Bridgeville. Four cars were carrying gravel and one car was carrying 33,000 gallons of propane. The propane tanker has damage but is not leaking. The immediate area was evacuated and about 7 people are sheltering at the fire station.

Philadelphia can expect an inch of rain and 35 mile per hour winds tonight. 40 degrees in Center City.
