Delaware County DA DUI Dropped; Adult Court motion filed for Pasquale Killers; Twinkies on Ebay

The Former Delaware County assistant district attorney implicated in a hit-and-run crash that left a Haverford teen severely injured has been exonerated of the most serious charges in his case. Judge John Braxton granted the defense motion to drop aggravated-assault and driving-under-the-influence charges. Michael Donohue, 32, still face trial for simple assault, leaving the scene, and other minor charges. The teenager he hit suffered a broken leg and pelvis and had bleeding on the brain that kept him hospitalized for months. The prosecution contended that Donohue was out drinking and was impaired at the time of the crash. An accident reconstruction specialist for the defense testified that a required Pennslyvania Department of Transportation crash report was not filed and Upper Darby Police Department's analysis of the speed of Donohue's car at the time was flawed. Witnesses earlier this week, including members of the district attorney's office, testified that Donohue left the bar at 9 pm. He had run up a bar tab of $120 that night, but none of the witnesses testified that he appeared impaired.

Gloucester County Assistant Prosecutor Michelle Jeneby announced today that they have filed motions seeking to have the two teenage brothers charged with the murder of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale tried as adults. Justin Robinson, 15, and Dante Robinson, 17, are still considered juveniles and details of any hearings involving their cases are closed to the public. No dates have been set on the motions to try them as adults. If convicted as adults, the teenagers would face at least 30 years in state prison without parole. After today's hearing they were ordered to remain in custody until another hearing that is set for December 13th. The two brothers are accused of luring Autumn Pasquale to their Clayton, NJ home not far from her's on Oct. 20 using her interest in BMX bicycles. They then killed her and placed her body in a recycling container. When Autumn didn't return home that night, her parent's called police which set off a multi-day missing person search party involving the entire community. It wasn't until the brothers' mother saw unusual posts on her son's Facebook and alerted the authorites that they were able to put the case together.

Hostess has announced that it will shutter it's bakeries because it can't afford to continue to keep them open while their workers are on strike and they are trying to recover from bankruptcy. That could signal the end for iconic brands such as Twinkies, Wonder Bread, Ho-hos, and Ding Dongs. Some people have already started to stock up in case they never see their favorite sugary pastries again. Others are already evaluating the futures market for Twinkies, expecting they'll become hard to find and in demand. How much for a box on ebay? Try $10,000 for your very own box of 10. If you are only in the mood for something a la carte. Then you can pick them up one at a time for only $5000 a piece from this auction.
