Hurricane Sandy NE Storm Update, Kidnap Reward Raised to $50,000, ATV Measure Passes in City Council
  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA
started: 10/25/12 8:38 pm | updated: 10/26/12 1:06 am
Two days ago, one Philadelphia TV weather guesser said that it would take a "miracle" for this hurricane to hit our area. Now, the latest track is a hard left for Hurricane Sandy - with her firepower hailing over Little Eden, New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area next week. Still way too early to say for sure. But never too early to start planning just in case.

The reward is now $50,000. Ten month old Saanvi Venna is still missing and the reward offers more incentive for someone to come forward with information that will lead to her safe recovery. Police, the FBI and K-9 units have been searching the area around the Marquis Apartments in King of Prussia since Monday. The baby disappeared and her 61 year old grandmother was found dead at the scene. An Amber Alert has been in effect since Monday.

Philadelphia cops will soon be able to confiscate parked ATV's from city sidewalks. City Council has given overwhelming approval to a measure that restricts the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATV) on sidewalks and in parks. The measure levies steep fines for ATV use on Philadelphia sidewalks and in parks. Once Mayor Nutter signs it, the measure will take effect in March.

Cloudy skies tonight. Down to 57 in Philadelphia.
