At a press conference this afternoon, police announced that two brothers who live in Clayton, NJ are in custody for the murder of 12 year old Autumn Pasquale. The 15 and 17 year old brothers lured Autumn to their home where they beat her to death and dumped her into a recycling bin. The cause of death was blunt force trauma consistent with strangulation. There was no evidence of sexual assault. They have both been charged with 1st degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, disposing of the body, tampering with evidence, and theft. The younger brother is also charged with luring. Their mother contacted police because of suspicious postings on one of their Facebook accounts. Authorities executed a search warrant on their house and found Autumn's belongings in their house including her bicycle. As of this point in the investigation they are being treated as minors and their names will not be released. They apparently lured Autumn to their house with initial interest in her BMX bike.

Autumn's family says a public viewing will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Glassboro. A funeral Mass at the church will follow at 2 p.m., and burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Clayton.

The FBI has joined the search for the baby kidnapped during a homicide in King of Prussia yesterday. The woman killed was the baby's 61 year old paternal grandmother who was visiting from India and was babysitting at the time. The baby, Saavni Venna is ten months old, 21 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. Police are investigating possible murder and kidnapping motives as the Amber Alert remains in effect.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has decided to scrap plans to build a new Lansdale Catholic High School. The real estate had been purchased in 2001 and construction plans were announced in 2007. Citing financial challenges that have been well documented over the last several years, the church is confident that it is poised to continue to educate students at its current location.
