Missing girl from Clayton, NJ; Costumed girl shot, Mistaken for Skunk; Tornado in Paradise

Police are looking for a missing 12-year-old girl from Clayton, NJ. Autumn Pasquale was last seen at her home on W. High Street around 12:30 pm Saturday riding her Odyssey BMX bike. She's described as 5-foot-2 and weighing 120 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing navy blue shorts underneath navy blue sweatpants, a yellow t-shirt with the words “Clayton Soccer” on front, bright blue high-top sneakers and a silver or light grey Cinch backpack with the word “Reckless” printed across the back. She was reported missing at 9:30 Saturday night. Family, friends, and authorities have been searching the area of Scotland Run Park on Sunday into the night.

UPDATE 10/21 11 pm: The search will continue throughout the night. Bloodhounds will continue to search the woods in the dark. Police ask that volunteers stay out of the wooded areas until they have completed.

UPDATE 10/22 1 pm: The FBI has now joined the search effort and additional law enforcement personnel are being called in to participate in the search.

UPDATE 10/22 2 pm: They do not have any current leads or persons of interest, but will continue to turn over every stone. Just announced at press conference, a $10000 reward is now being offered for information that leads to finding Autumn.

UPDATE 10/22 11 pm: No more information or leads in the disappearance of Autumn. The community gathered tonight for a candle light vigil.

UPDATE 10/23 8 am: A body was found last night around 10 pm that is believed to be Autumn. The body of a girl was found in a recycling bin on E. Clayton Street.


UPDATE 10/23 4pm: ** BREAKING!! Arrests have been made in the homicide of Autumn Pasquale. Two teenage brothers, 15 and 17, have been arrested and charged with 1st degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, disposing of the body, tampering with evidence, and theft. The younger brother is also charged with luring. The Gloucester County Coroner determined that Autumn died because of injuries w/ blunt force trauma consistent with strangulation. There were no signs of sexual assault. After seeing signs posted their mother contacted police because of postings on their Facebook account. They executed a search warrant on their house and found Autumns belongings in their house including her bicycle. As of this point in the investigation they are being treated as minors and their names will not be released.

A costumed 9-year-old girl was accidentally shot after being mistaken for a skunk by a relative at a Halloween party Saturday night. This all happened in New Sewickley Township in Western PA. The girl was over a hillside and wearing a black costume with a black hat and a white tassel. The male relative thought she was a skunk and fired a shotgun, hitting her in the shoulder with pellets. The little girl was alert and talked while being flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh about 30 miles away. There is no word on her current status. The man had not been drinking and police don't know yet if charges will be filed.

National Weather Service officials from State College, PA have confirmed that an EF-1 tornado did touch down near Paradise, PA on Friday evening between 8:10 and 8:20. The tornado damage was within a large area of straight line wind damage that extended from Fern Glen Township to Paradise Township. It was about 16 miles long and 200 yards wide. 15 people were injured when a pavilion collapsed at Paradise Park. Winds up to 110 miles an hour damaged 2000-3000 trees. The Lancaster County Emergency Management Office estimates $3 to $5 million in damage.
