A high school sophomore in Philadelphia was ridiculed by her teacher for wearing a pink Mitt Romney for President t-shirt. Samantha Pawlucy says her geometry teacher at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond publicly humiliated her inside and outside the classroom in the hallway and was told to change the shirt because Carroll is a Democrat school. The teacher likened wearing the shirt to wearing a white KKK sheet. The school district is investigating.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has decided to take "Commissioner's Direct Action" against Lieutenant Jonathan Josey. Josey punched Aida Guzman at the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Ramsey has decided the use of force was unjustified. Josie is suspended for 30 days with intent to dismiss.

The Phillies season is over and so is the employment of three Phillies coaches. Fired after the final game of the Phillies 81-81 season were hitting instructor Greg Gross, bench coach Pete Mackanin and first base coach Sam Perlozzo. Some Phillies players are expected to be gone as well with the Phillies ready to spend money in the free agent market. Mick Billmeyer, Rich Dubee and Juan Samuel will return, while Ryan Sandberg, Steve Henderson and Rod Nichols were promoted from within the Phillies system. Hall of Famer Sandberg will become the Third Base Coach and Infield instructor. Juan Samuel will move over to First Base Coach. Rich Dubee will remain the pitching coach. Henderson will become the hitting instructor. Billmeyer will become the catching coach, and Nichols will become the bullpen coach. The Phillies have decided to go without a bench coach next year.

Sports
Phillies GM Ruben Amaro says more changes are coming but Charlie Manuel will return as manager.
