War Crimes Suspect in Philadelphia, Gunfire at Philly Airport, PA Lawmakers To-Do or Don't List

A Philadelphia man is being investigated for suspected involvement with war crimes in Germany. The Associated Press reported that 87 year old Johann Breyer was a guard at Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Breyer claims he was stationed outside the camp and had no part in the slaughter of Jews at the prison.

A gun was accidentally fired inside Philadelphia International airport Sunday morning. A flight attendant arrived for work at security screening and said she forgot that she had her gun along with her. When police attempted to unload the gun, the weapon fired. Fortunately, no one was hit and she did have a permit to carry, but police gave her a ticket anyway.

PA lawmakers are back to work today in Harrisburg for the final weeks of their current two-year legislative session. The list of items NOT on their to-do list is more significant than what they will get done. Charter school reform will be addressed. But transportation funding, pension reform and liquor privatization will just have to wait.

Sports
The Phillies are off today and open a home series tomorrow with the Washington Nationals.

Weather
Sunshine today. 68 in Philadelphia.
