Person of Interest in Custody in Officer Walker case; Foles to lead Eagles in Preseason

Philadelphia Police have taken a 'person of interest' into custody for the killing of Officer Moses Walker Jr. The unidentified man was arrested this afternoon around 3pm at the Bartram Village Apartments in Southwest Philadelphia after failing to report for a probation appointment. He was transported to the Homicide Unit and is currently being interviewed. He is being held on an outstanding bench warrant for missing that probation appointment. This 'person of interest' is believed to be one of the two men responsible for the murder of Officer Walker on Saturday morning at 6am as he walked to a bus stop after his shift in North Philadelphia. There is still another suspect at large the police need help to locate. The reward for information leading to conviction is a record $118,000.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick is expected to miss the rest of the Preseason with bruised ribs after sustaining the injury early in Monday's victory vs the Patriots. This paves the way for third round pick rookie Nick Foles to make an impression on the coaches and the fans. He is already gaining loyal followers amoung some Eagles fans, but he has been good so far, with a NFL's preseason leading 118.4 passer rating. Foles will get the starting snap this Friday night vs. Cleveland. Andy Reid expects Vick to be healthy enough for the season start.

Tonight, partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 70s for most of the evening in Philadelphia.
