Fire Boat for Philadelphia, Route 23 Reopens, Girls Killed in Cape May County

The City of Philadelphia may take a shot at landing a $1 million terrorist fighting fire boat from Bensalem Township. Marine 37 is the official name of the vessel but has been nicknamed the "Bear on the Delaware" because Bensalem can't keep up with maintaining the little used boat.

Route 23 in West Conshohocken and Upper Merion Township is open again. I hear you cheering. For about a year, over 15,000 daily commuters have had to deal with detours and slow traffic while improvements were made.

Two teenage girls were struck and killed by a car down the shore last night. The girls were walking along Bayshore Road in Cape May County at about 9:30 last night when the accident happened. The driver of the car remained at the scene and police are withholding details while they investigate.

Sports
The Phillies go for two in a row tonight against the Nationals.

Weather
Mix of sun and clouds today. Thunderstorms later. High 83 in Philadelphia.
