$10,000 Reward For Abduction Attempt Information, Hospital Merger Off, Arrests in Rec Center Rape

Philadelphia Police are offering a $10,000 reward to help lead to the suspect in the attempted abduction of a 10 year old girl on Tuesday. Police released a video of the attack which happened on the 3400 block of Lee Street. The video shows the girl kicking, screaming and fighting until the attacker flees down Porter Street in a white sedan. Anyone with information should contact police.

The Merger is off between Abington Health and Holy Redeemer Health System. There has been intense opposition from pro-abortion activists because one of the results of the merger would have been an end to abortions at Abington. Both institutions released statements saying they are disappointed, but the decision is in the best interest of both organizations.

Two of the teenage boys connected to the rape of a 12 year old girl at the Francis Myers Recreation Center in Kingsessing are in the custody of Philadelphia Police. The girl says she was attacked by a group of 14 year old boys Monday night in a stairwell. Police believe three boys raped her, while a fourth was posted as a lookout. The other two teenagers have been identified and police are locating them.

The Phillies are off tonight and open a series at home tomorrow with the Giants.

Thunderstorms around the area. 87 degrees in Philadelphia.
