The jury sent note back in the Clergy Abuse trial telling the court they have reached 'hung status' on four of the five charges. The jury was then led back into the court room where they were encouraged to continue their deliberations and try to come to a verdict. They were given a Spencer charge by Judge Sarmina which is a standard charge to tell a jury to keep deliberating. She also let the jury know she was open to helping them in any way by re-reading testimony or offering guidance. That was met with objection from Brennan's lawyer, who motioned for a mistrial saying that Sarmina was inserting herself into the deliberation process. At the end of the day, they did not reach a decision and were told to return Friday for their 13th day of deliberations.

A 23-year-old Philadelphia police officer was charged today with selling heroin to a confidential informant working for the FBI. Jonathan Garcia, a three year vet stationed at the 17th District in South Philly, was charged with four counts of distribution of heroin and two counts of carrying a firearm during drug trafficking. In two separate incidents Garcia sold or attempted to sell a couple of bundles of heroin to or through the CI. Garcia has been suspended 30 days with the intent to dismiss.

In Sports, the Eagles and free-agent safety O.J. Atogwe agreed on a one-year contract Wednesday.
