Eagles Release Joe Banner, Jerry Sandusky Love Letters, Obama Fundraising Tour in Philly

The Philadelphia Eagles and Team President, Joe Banner have parted ways. Jeffrey Lurie stated that it is simply a front office succession plan. But there have been rumors of a power struggle between head coach, Andy Reid and Banner over key decisions affecting the team. COO Don Smolenski and GM Howie Roseman will take over day-to-day chores.

One of Jerry Sandusky’s alleged victims claims to have love letters written to him by Sandusky. The jury is now complete and Sandusky’s legal team argued that the leak of the news about love letters violated a gag order and tried to get a delay. It was denied and the trial will proceed as scheduled.

President Obama will visit Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute Tuesday evening for an election campaign fundraising stop. Tickets to a reception run $250. A ticket to dinner will cost $10,000 and if you’d like to join a roundtable discussion with the President, you will be charged $40,000.

Sports
Joe Banner is out as President of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Phillies try to avoid the sweep tonight against the Dodgers.

Weather
