CDC says Don't Fear the Zombie Apocalypse

In case you were wondering or preparing for the worst, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) has said that flesh-easting living dead do not exist. "CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms)," said agency spokesman David Daigle.

There is no imminent Zombie apocalypse we are assured. This is despite several high profile bizarre acts of cannibalism this week. First was Rudy Eugene, 31, on Saturday in Miami, FL, who was shot and killed by police while eating the face of a homeless man. Next was Alexander Kinyua, 21, a student in Maryland who admitted to killing his roommate and eating his heart and brain. Finally, Canadian police are looking for Luka Rocco Magnotta who killed and dismembered a man and ate some of his flesh, mailing body parts to various political offices.

None of these men are zombies, but who needs zombies when regular humans are just as crazy.

Porn star Luka Magnotta, 29, was found at an Internet cafe in the Neu-Koelln disctict of Berlin. Interpol had issued an arrest warrant for Magnotta for the murder of 32-year-old Chinese student Jun Lin, whose body parts were mailed to the headquarters of the governing Conservative Party in Ottawa on Tuesday. Lin's headless and limbless torso was found in a suitcase behind Magnotta's apartment building, while his apartment was covered in pools of blood.
