The ban on public feeding of the homeless on Ben Franklin Parkway has been delayed. It is not expected to take effect until sometime after the new Barnes Museum opens later in May. The mayor is allowing groups to stage outdoor feedings on the apron of City Hall.

Governor Corbett has signed a bill that makes Pennsylvania the biggest state to block the implementation of the federal Real ID program. The ACLU believes the national ID card plan poses serious privacy concerns. And it would cost PA $100 million to start and $40 million a year to maintain.
