Accused Mayfair Tire Slasher Free on Bail, Local Music Day is Saturday, Mother's Day Weekend Sports

David Toledo, the accused Mayfair tire slasher, has posted bail and is free today. He was released from county jail after his wife posted 10 percent of the $270,000 bail he was being held on stemming from 40 counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief. His attorney downplayed the threats Toledo initially received upon arrest saying things have calmed down. His trial is set for July 12th.

Loves Local Music presents the inaugural Philadelphia Local Music Day. All day tomorrow a variety of Philadelphia local businesses are participating by playing music in their establishments by five chosen featured local artists. Ditch the piped in muzak, they're going all local all day. “Philadelphia Local Music Day aims to bring more awareness to Philadelphia’s vibrant, talented arts community while encouraging Philadelphians to support the city’s local culture and economy.” More info on the businesses and bands at Loves Local Music. Mother's Day Weekend Sports, Padres are in town for a weekend series against the Phillies. Sixers start sound 2 of the NBA playoffs in Boston tomorrow night vs Celtics. Dad Vail Regatta is being run along Kelly Drive on the Schuylkill River Saturday. Race for the Cure will be Sunday morning starting at Art Museum.
