The Cumberland County Prosecutors Office announced that one of the three men previously arrested on firearms offenses in connection to the mass shooting at a party in Fairfield Township late last month has now been charged with attempted murder. 36-year-old Kevin Dawkins of Bridgeton was arrested on May 23 for a variety of gun charges. He now faces attempted murder. Witnesses at the party say they saw Dawkins firing a gun. It is not known if he struck anyone. Police still have to charge someone for the deaths of three people at the party. It happened around 11:50 p.m. Saturday, 5/22, on the 1000 block of East Commerce Street in Fairfield Township, near Bridgeton. There were over 100 people attending a birthday party at the home when the shooting broke out. 19-year-old Braylin Holmes, 30-year-old Kevin Elliott, 30, and 25-year-old Asia Hester were killed in the shooting. 11 others were injured. The investigation is ongoing.

A mural for George Floyd was vandalized overnight in North Philadelphia. It happened sometime in the early morning on Friday, 6/4. The mural is located at 5th and Olney and was painted on a newsstand. The vandals partially whitewashed the mural and then stenciled logos all over. The logos belong to "Patriot Front" which is described as a white nationalist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. (see image below)

Part of a building collapsed overnight and landed on a car in Old City. It happened just after midnight, 6/4, on the 200 block of Market Street. Loose bricks fell from the building and crushed the car parked on the street. A pile of rubble was left in front of the Lovely Bridal. No one was injured. Fire officials think the rain may have caused the collapse.
