Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of around 12 suspects wanted in a hate crime assault and robbery last week in Rittenhouse Square. The group is described as a dozen white males and females in their 20's and well dressed. The incident happened around 10:15 pm on September 11th on the 1600 block of Chancellor Street in Center City. A 28-year-old and 27-year-old male walking together were approached by the group who first 'made disparaging remarks about their sexual orientation.' The group then jumped the two men, some holding them up while others punched them in the face, head and chest. One had his bag containing cell phone, wallet, and credit cards stolen. They were both taken to Hahnemann Hospital. One of the men required surgery and had his jaw wired for facial fractures. If you have any information you should contact Philadelphia Police.

Restaurant Pennsylvania 6 at 12th and Sansom has put up $10,000 for information leading to the suspects. Philadelphia Crime Commission has added another $1,000.

UPDATE 9/18/14 11 p.m: Twitter user @FanSince09 has identified many of the suspects using Facebook and Twitter and handed that information to police. He was able to trace a group photo (see below) containing the suspects out to dinner at La Viola restaurant. Using Facebook Graph Search he could identify those individuals in the photo by their "check-ins" to the restaurant and match suspects in the video to their Facebook accounts. How it came together.

UPDATE 9/19/14 12:05 a.m.: Several suspects have made arrangements through their lawyers to surrender/talk to police. Several persons-of-interest have apparently been questioned through out the day by Central Detectives. No charges have been filed or arrests made. However, once any charges are filed they won't be for hate crimes. Under current PA law, only crimes motivated by race, religion or ethnicity can be prosecuted as a hate crime, not sexual preference or identity.

Police have issued an arrest warrant in connection with the fatal shooting in Frankford on Sunday that left a pregnant mother and her premature baby dead. They are looking for 27-year-old Devon Guisherd of the 4700 block of N. Penn Street. (pictured below) Police say that Guisherd shot the stray bullet that hit 25-year-old Megan Doto in the face. Doto was 8-months pregnant. Doctors at Temple University Hospital delivered her baby via emergency Cesarian section, but the baby died hours later. Guisherd fired multiple shots at a white car a block away from where Doto was sitting outside her home. The reward in this case is $40,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

A former Bucks County middle school band teacher (pictured below) has been arrested and arraigned for allegedly have a sexual affair with a 14-year-old student. 31-year-old Bridgett Szychulski was the band leader for Lenape Middle School in Doylestown, PA at the time of the incident in 2012. Authorities acted on an anonymous tip to Childline last week. Central Bucks School District suspended her immediately and the DA began investigating. She has been charged with deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. The encounters occurred in her office, in her car, and also a supply closet at school. She was released on $500,000 bail and ordered not to have any contact with minors. If anyone has had any inappropriate contact with Szychulski they should contact the Bucks County District Attorney's office at 215-348-6629.

Tonight,
Mostly Clear, temperatures in the mid/upper 60's this evening in Center City
