Comcast announced today that it plans to build a second office tower in Philadelphia. The building will be called the "Comcast Innovation and Technology Center" and will be located on Arch Street between 18th and 19th. The skyscraper was designed by British architect Norman Foster who is known for London's Millennium Bridge and "The Gerkin" as well as Apple's new "Spaceship" headquarters. The center will have 59 stories, standing 1,121 feet, easily being the tallest in the city, and the tallest in the country outside Chicago and New York. NBC 10, Telemundo 62, and the Four Seasons hotel have already announced they'll occupy the new building. Comcast also hopes to attract growing technolgy companies. The project will cost $1.2 billion.

A man has died after a fire broke out in a Center City high rise apartment. The fire department was called just before 4 p.m. to the Walnut Square Apartments, located at 201 South 13th Street. The fire was located inside a 10th floor unit in the 12-story apartment building. The 60-year-old man suffered smoke inhalation and a heart attack and was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The firefighters were able to get the fire under control by 4:30, but the building was evacuated as a precaution. The cause of the fire remains unclear.

Police have identified the man who threw hot coffee on a Dunkin' Donuts clerk last week because she wouldn't take an expired coupon he showed on his iPhone. William Houser, 36, of the 3400 block of North Carlisle Street in Tioga, is now wanted for aggravated assault. (see photo below). It happened last Wednesday around 1pm at the Dunkin' Donuts at 4701 N. Broad St. He was identified by surveillance video inside the store. Houser and the store clerk can been seen engaged in an argument when he then tosses the contents of the coffee on the clerk. Anyone with information is asked to call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or to text PPD TIP (773847).
