The Kimmel Center opened it's renovated Dorrance Hamilton Rooftop Garden today. The 6,200 sq-ft space sits atop the Perelman Theater. The glass encased hall underwent $6 million in renovations to make it usable throughout the year. During the months from May-October it would just become too hot high up in the atrium, and event noise from the 200 person private room would leak out into the performance halls below. They have now installed triple-paned sound proof glass around the sides and electro-chromic glass above that can be tinted to shade the sun. It should made for a picturesque private party or wedding reception.

31-year-old Osvaldo Rivera was arraigned today in Camden Superior Court and ordered held on $5 million bail. He is charged with murder and attempted murder. On Sunday at 2 am, Rivera got into the upstairs of a home on Ware Street in Camden and slashed the throat of 6-year-old Dominick Andujor. He attempted to slash the throat of his 12-year-old sister, however she got away to a neighbor's house. Rivera told investigators that he had smoked PCP laced marijuana. This is the second time in just two weeks that a horrible death of a child involved PCP. Chevonne Thomas beheaded her son before killing herself on Aug. 22.

Tonight, scattered showers and storms throughout the area, potential for flooding, Temperatures in the 70's in Philadelphia.
