It seems like the wild animals have gotten spring fever. Upper Darby is on the lookout for a raccoon who bit a 15 year old girl on the leg. The victim was staying overnight at her boyfriend's parents' and woke to use the bathroom when the raccoon who had climbed in the house bit her on the leg and ran. Philadelphia Schools Closing, Dangerous Teen Trend, Election Results

The Teachers Union is not responding positively to the Philadelphia School District's plan to close 64 public schools over the next 5 years. According the District Chief Recovery Officer, Tom Knudsen, the closures will quickly save the city $33 million and a billion dollars in the long run.

The Beach Boys have just unveiled a clip of "That's Why God Made the Radio," the first single off their reunion album. The album of new material is due to hit shelves on June 5th. The group split up in the late 1990s and toured separately. Last year, they put any animosity off to the side and reunited for a tour. The Philadelphia School District is making major budget cuts. Forty schools will be closed by next year. The cuts are part of a 5 year plan to save money and eliminate the underperforming schools.

Two people were injured during an accident involving a police K-9 cruiser and an SUV in Egg Harbor Township last night. After the collision, the K9 cruiser veered off the road and ended up in the woods. This incident remains under police investigation.

A man wanted for murder in New York was killed this morning when he jumped in front of a SEPTA train between Jenkintown and Noble stations. The suspect's truck was spotted speeding down Route 309 found abandoned at the Jenkintown Elementary School, triggering a lockdown of the school districts 600 students.
