Three teenagers are now in custody in connection to random group assault in a Northeast Philadelphia supermarket earlier this week.17-year-old Kevin Tavarez, 18-year-old Tomas Eanes and 17-year-old Jose Ruiz are facing a litany of charges including assault, robbery, and conspiracy. The two minors have been charges as adults. Police released video of the attack obtained from store security cameras, but it was video taken by the suspects that helped track them down. Three teachers, the Principal and Vice Principal of Triton High School in Runnemede New Jersey have turned themselves into police for having improper sexual relationships with students. Investigators say the three teachers had sex with students and the administrators attempted to cover it up. The incidents with two 17 year old and one 18 year old female student started last November.

An American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Miami was delayed almost two hours due to a mechanical issue with the pilot’s seat, airline officials said Thursday. On Thursday, American Airlines cancelled 50 flights scheduled for Thursday and 44 flights scheduled for Friday due to similar issues on Boeing 757s. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has announced the nominees for 2013. Those acts need to have been making music for at least 25 years to qualify. Then the hall will send ballots out to over 600 members of the music industry to vote. Performers garnering the highest number of votes and at least 50% will be inducted, usually 5-7 each year. A high school sophomore in Philadelphia was ridiculed by her teacher for wearing a pink Mitt Romney for President t-shirt. Samantha Pawlucy says her geometry teacher at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond publicly humiliated her inside and outside the classroom in the hallway and was told to change the shirt because Carroll is a Democrat school. The teacher likened wearing the shirt to wearing a white KKK sheet. The school district is investigating.

Brewerytown Double Shooting, Upper Darby Sexual Assault, Wayne Donation Thief Caught

A double shooting in the city's Brewerytown neighborhood Wednesday night is under investigation. Police say a 24 year old man was shot in the lower back and taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The second victim, and 18 year old man, was taken to Temple University Hospital after being shot in the buttocks, also listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time.

The Phillies lost today 5-1 to the 2012 NL East Champion Washington Nationals. They finished the season with a completely unexciting 81-81 record. If you asked anyone at this point last year, when we finished the season off with a team record 102 wins and the best record in MLB, if this would be the scenario left to us this afternoon, most people would have thought it was a hearty joke (even those wishy washy bandwagon fans on the Beltway). Charges Dropped against Punched Woman; Philly ATV Law Approved; Williams Execution Halted

The District Attorney's office said today that they will drop charges against Aida Guzman, the woman punched by Philadelphia Lt. Jonathan Josey last weekend. Guzman, 39, was cited for disorderly conduct after police thought she threw some kind of liquid at them during a street celebration following the Puerto Rican Day parade. Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has suspended Lieutenant Jonathan Josey for his apparent attack on a woman at the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Josie is seen in a viral video punching Aida Guzman in the face. Ramsey wants a fast but thorough investigation in the matter.

Plans right now are to move forward with disbanding the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police department. The East Goshen board of supervisors indicated contingency plans are being considered. Options include being covered by the state police or starting a new police department and residents want to know how much a new department would cost. Supervisors indicated reaching a deal is still possible and disbanding the regional police department may not be necessary.
