SEPTA Crash Injures Ten, Romney Got 0 Votes in 59 Philadelphia Districts, Casino Deadline Thursday

A SEPTA bus collided with a car sending 10 people to the hospital today. The accident happened at 2nd and Olney about 8:15 this morning when the Route 18 bus hit a white sedan and another vehicle. Nine passengers on the bus and the driver were hurt. Three are in serious condition.

Veterans Day ceremonies were held throughout the Delaware Valley on Sunday to honor those who've served. At the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Washington Square Military Cemetery at 7th and Walnut, Mayor Nutter joined other veterans in a Sunday morning wreath laying ceremony. Camden, NJ, Ties Record 58th Murder; Long Beach Island Residents Survey Damage

Camden, NJ, has now tied the record number of homicides in a year for the city set back in 1995. A man who was beaten on November 2nd died as a result of his injuries yesterday at 12:30 pm. Gregory Holder, 45 of Cherry Hill became the 58th victim of homicide this year. He was assaulted during an argument with two men over a drug transaction. Philadelphia's GAMP, the Girard Academic Music Program, the elite public magnet school for gifted musicians, is losing its school busses. Part of school district cuts that would save the city a million dollars a year, officials at the school are concerned for the safety of students who would need to carry expensive instruments on SEPTA. A condemned inmate escaped lethal injection Thursday for the murder of a teenage girl after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the execution should be halted. Officials in Ocean County have confirmed the death of four people as a result of Superstorm Sandy. A 94 year old Forked River woman and a 71 year old Stafford man died from hyperthermia due to exposure to the cold. A 61 year old man from Brick and a 72 year old Little Egg Harbor man drowned. Today FEMA started bringing the first of several hundred pre-fab houses to parts of New Jersey and New York hardest hit by Sandy.

Surgeons at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have successfully separated 8 month old twin girls who were joined at the lower chest and abdomen. The seven hour procedure separated Allison and Amelia Tucker of New York. CHOP lead surgeon Holly Hedrick said the surgery was successful and the babies should grow to live healthy independent lives.
