Former Philadelphia Phillies ace pitcher Roy Halladay died Tuesday when his Icon A5 small plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico in Florida. Halladay was the only one on board when the plane went down around Noon. Early reports were that the aircraft belonged to the pitcher, but confirmation of Halladay as the lone fatality came at a press conference this afternoon. Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years in state prison on Monday by a Philadelphia judge for probation violations stemming from a 2008 drug and weapons conviction. 30-year-old Meek Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, has had numerous incidents that violated the conditions of his parole over the past 10 years. Texas officials now say the victims of the shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs range in age from 18 months to 77 years. 14 of the 26 fatal victims were children. 10 of the 20 injured remain in critical condition. Philadelphia Police are investigating after a 16-year-old was killed and a 12-year-old was injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia. The shooting took place just after midnight on the 2700 block of North 19th Street. Police say that the shooter pulled up to the house where 16-year-old Marquese Houston and his friends were hanging out and opened fire on them sitting on the porch. 26 people were killed and around 20 were injured when a gunman opened fire inside a church in South Texas during services on Sunday morning. It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Wilson County about 30 miles east of San Antonio. A man has been arrested for killing his brother in his home in Elkins Park, Montgomery County. Cheltenham Police were called out to the home of 64-year-old Harry Bachman to perform a well being check around noon on Saturday. He was supposed to meet a family member for dinner on Friday night and never showed up. A family member met police at the residence on the 400 block of North Sterling Road to let them in with a key. Authorities returned to the Advanced Urgent Care clinic in Willow Grove on Friday to serve another search warrant. This time it was Upper Moreland Police who briefly shut down the business first thing when it opened in the morning to perform their searches.
