Two Liberty to Add Hotel, Police Kill Man in West Philly, FBI Explosive Discovery in Malvern

A portion of Two Liberty Place is going to be sold and converted into a hotel. According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, IStar Financial has decided to sell their portion of the skyscraper for development of a high end hotel with 150 rooms. Two Liberty Place currently uses space for offices and condominiums.

Sykes Stole Another Car, Hatfield Third Robbery Suspect Arrested, Pennridge Officer Injured

You've heard about the couple involved in stealing a Camden police car before stealing a Philadelphia police car on Tuesday. Now, the woman arrested is suspected of stealing another car the night before. A delivery man for Del Rossi's Cheesesteak Co., believes Shayna Sykes stole his Nissan Altima Monday afternoon in Northern Liberties as he was was dropping off some french fries. Officials say they later recovered the car on State Street in North Camden.

Hundreds of friends, family, and students marched on Philadelphia school district headquarters late this afternoon. The protestors blocked the streets outside while several were arrested inside attempting to block the doors of the auditorium. The School Reform Commission was planning on holding a meeting to vote on a final decision regarding the closure of 27 schools. Police are searching for someone who drove a front end loader through the front of the Piston Diner (pictured )in Westville, New Jersey last night. It was captured on surveillance camera around midnight. The loader, possibly from a construction site down the road, made a loop on Route 130 then plowed into the front of the diner and lifted the bucket. Mayor Nutter admits there's a lot of confusion over the new property assessments. His aides are launching a series of meetings throughout the month — including two tonight — to answer residents' questions. Nutter says the meetings will be held in all neighborhoods at times convenient for all. Thursday night’s meetings are at the American Heritage Federal Credit Union, 2060 Red Lion Road, and at the Joseph Coleman Library, 68 West Chelten Avenue. Both sessions run from 6-9pm.

The couple involved in yesterday's wild interstate car chase from Camden to North Philly using two stolen police cars were apparently high on heroin at the time. The two police vehicles were not the first cars they stole nor was it the first car chase that Blake Bills and Shayna Sykes were in this week. Police are trying to figure out what triggered the theft of two police cars and a high speed chase that left an officer hospitalized. Blake Bills and Shayna Sykes (pictured) of Macungie stole a Camden Police car from an officer at a traffic stop. They ran him over, crossed the bridge into Philly where they were stopped. Then Sykes stole a Philly cop car, crashing it into several vehicles before getting caught.
