The annual Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, simply known as THON, is set to take place all weekend long. Normally the marathon takes at the Bryce Jordan Center on PSU's campus in State College, Pennsylvania, but this year's event will be held virtually due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Events will still be broadcast from the BJC, but all dancers and spectators will participate from home.

Police have arrested a man who fired shots into the Montgomery County Democratic Committee office last month on Inauguration Day, 1/20, and sent a threatening letter earlier in January. 48-year-old Anthony Nero of Eagleville has been charged with terrorism, terroristic threats, carrying a firearm without a license, and recklessly endangerment. Pennsylvania State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta of Philadelphia has announced that he is running for U.S. Senate in 2022. 30-year-old Kenyatta represents the 181st district which covers parts of North Philadelphia. In 2018, Kenyatta was the first openly LGBTQ person of color elected to Pennsylvania House. He joins Lt. John Fetterman and Rep. Philadelphia Police are investigating after 8 people were shot and injured in broad daylight in a mass shooting in North Philly on Wednesday afternoon, 2/17. It happened around 2:50 p.m. near Broad and Olney at SEPTA's Olney Transportation Station. Shots rang out at the busy bus station striking a range of seemingly unconnected people ages 17-71. The former Trump Plaza Casino along the Boardwalk in Atlantic City was imploded on Wednesday morning, 2/17. The casino was opened by then real estate developer Donald Trump in 1984. His involvement in the property ended in 2009, but his name remained on the building. It closed in 2014. Current owner, Carl Icahn, has not mentioned any plans for the site. Local leaders started calling for its demolition after pieces of the facade began falling to the ground.
