Chris Martin of Coldplay performed today at the funeral for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Beau is the son of Vice President of Joe Biden, a University of Pennsylvania alumnus, and an Iraq war veteran. Biden died last week after a battle with brain cancer. He was 46. Martin offered to play at the services after learning that Beau was a fan. He played "Til Kingdom Come" off of Coldplay's third album "X&Y". Watch video of the solo performance below:

A ceremony was held today to mark the second anniversary of the building collapse tragedy that killed six and hurt a dozen more at 22nd and Market Streets. On June 5, 2013 a wall of a building being demolished came crashing down on the adjacent Salvation Army thrift store full of shoppers and employees. An off-duty Philadelphia police officer shot and killed a would be robber last night at a Pizza Shop on Rising Sun Avenue. The off duty, plain clothes cop was ordering at the counter of Rising Sun Pizza Shop when two men entered the store, held a gun to his head, robbed him of $20 and told him to lie on the floor. When the thieves turned to rob the cash register, the detective got up, pulled his gun and announced he was a cop. A gun battle followed and one of the thieves was shot and killed.... Read More

Officials promise a complete investigation of Wednesday night's death of a Chester man, run over by police as he fled from them on a bike with a gun in his hand. That probe will be handled by the Delaware County District Attorney. Jack Whelan says his detectives are keeping the family of 24-year-old Sherman Byrd in the loop as witnesses, police and sheriff's deputies are questioned. A tractor-trailer and a bus carrying Italian tourists collided Wednesday on a highway in eastern Pennsylvania, killing three people and sending more than a dozen to hospitals, authorities said. Police identified the driver of the bus killed in the accident as Alfredo Telemaco, 54, of New York. The crash occurred yesterday morning on Interstate 380 in the Pocono Mountains. Police say the crash occurred after the tractor-trailer crossed into oncoming traffic.

Officials say two people are dead after a two-car crash overnight in Chester, Delaware County. This happened in the early morning hours at West 2nd and Pusey Streets. Car parts were all over the road following the accident, but that has since been cleaned up. Investigators are still collecting evidence to figure out exactly what happened.
