The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office has agreed to a plea deal with the two men charged in the murder of Philadelphia Police Sergeant Robert Wilson III. Carlton Hipps and Ramone Williams will no longer face the death penalty. They will plead guilty and be sentenced to life in prison plus 50-100 years. A man on a bicycle was struck and killed by a dump truck in North Philadelphia on Friday morning, 6/22. It happened after 8:30 a.m. at Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street in the city's Franklinville section. The truck was traveling westbound on Luzerne Street and the man on the bicycle was riding alongside. The truck driver tried to turn right onto Whitaker Avenue when he hit the cyclist. Thursday night was the 2018 NBA Draft held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The Philadelphia 76ers had 2 first round picks and 4 second round picks in tonight's draft including the 10th overall selection. Four members of the 2018 NCAA Champion Villanova Wildcats had entered this year's draft. The Sixers drafted Villanova F/G Mikal Bridges with that #10 overall pick. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday, 6/20, that will end the separation of children from parents after they cross the US-Mexico border illegally. The new order does not end the 'zero-tolerance' policy that prosecutes all immigrants caught crossing outside border checkpoints. Sunday was the 4th and final day here at the Firefly Music Festival in Dover and it sure was a great day to end this fantastic festival. Officials believe a dispute between two rival gangs led to violence at an arts festival in Trenton, NJ early Sunday morning that left 22 injured, 17 from gun shot wounds.
