The 8th Annual Philadelphia Hip Hop Awards were abruptly halted on Saturday night, 12/15, after an altercation broke out in the seated crowd. The disruption caused a panic and the scared attendees pushed through the folding chairs and fled from the scuffle. There was confusion as to what threat prompted the scare, but once the dust settled and the building evacuated there was no salvaging the show. A Philadelphia Police officer was injured Saturday night, 12/15, after being pinned against her patrol car by a suspect driving a stolen rental van. It happened around 7:30 p.m. at Sedgely and Ridge avenues in Strawberry Mansion. The officer and her partner stopped the U-haul truck and were investigating the possibility it was stolen. A high school senior was killed Friday morning, 12/14, in a single-vehicle accident on the way to school in New Castle County, Delaware. The crash happened before 7:30 a.m. on the 1800 block of Newport Road in Marshallton. 18-year-old Sarai Trujillo was driving to John Dickinson High School. Authorities believe speed was a factor. 4 men were injured after a masked man opened fire inside a Philadelphia barbershop on Thursday evening, 12/13. It happened shortly after 7 p.m. at Jay's Shear Magic Barbershop along the 4500 block of Broad Street in Logan. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, announced next year's inductees to the hall. Leading the way was Stevie Nicks who was previously inducted as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998 and now becomes the first female artist to be inducted twice. An armored truck spilled cash on a New Jersey highway on Thursday morning, 12/13, causing multiple accidents as people got out of their cars to grab the money. It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Route 3 in East Rutherford near MetLife Stadium. Two people are dead and three more are injured after a dump truck crushed an SUV on Route 202 in East Whiteland Township, Chester County on Wednesday morning, 12/12. The crash happened around 10 a.m. on the Route 202 southbound ramp to westbound Route 30 bypass. Residents in one Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, neighborhood have gotten fed up with a large pothole that keeps growing larger and larger without any intervention from the city. The traffic hazard became so big that one woman decided to 'plant' an artificial Christmas tree in the hole. Another man put a plastic Santa inside beside the tree.
