Main Line Fortune Teller Arrested; 3 Men Rob Northeast Woman; AMOR Statue Comes to Philly

A Main Line woman was arrested after an investigation into her spiritual reading and meditation services. 36-year-old Semeinta Siganoff of Devon, PA, is charged with theft by deception and fortune telling. A client reported her to Tredyffrin Township police saying that between February and December of 2014 they paid Siganoff $24,000 for spiritual readings, meditation services and other life improvement promises. Schuylkill Banks Trail Assaults; U.S. Security Meeting for Papal Visit; Abortion Doctor Lawsuit

Reports of women being assaulted and harassed along the Schuylkill Banks are causing alarm among Philadelphia runners and prompted the nonprofit that oversees the trail to encourage victims to report incidents to authorities. The Schuylkill Banks Development Corp. posted messages on its website and social media accounts Thursday, urging those who witness or experience incidents on the popular running and cycling trail to contact police.

Evacuation from Juniata House Fire, Pennypack Home Invasion, Camden County Breeding Mills Resolution

A fast-moving fire forced residents out of their homes overnight in the Juniata section of Philadelphia. The blaze began just after 11 p.m. Thursday on the 4000 block of Ormond Street. Officials say the fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. There's no word yet how many houses were impacted or the exact number of people displaced. Officials are still investigating a cause.

Philly 311 Closed After Bed Bug Found; $5000 Reward Center City Arson; Search Warrants Kane's Office

Philadelphia's 311 call center in City Hall was closed down and employees sent home after a bed bug was discovered inside the room. The center is located in Room 167 on the first floor of City Hall. An employee found the bug on the floor and showed building maintenance. They decided immediately to close the room and fumigate. Employees worked remotely answering questions through social media and e-mail. The center will reopen tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter put a verbal beat-down on City Controller Alan Butkovitz yesterday labeling Butkovitz report on the city's L&I "outrageous, misguided and irresponsible." The controller's report calls on Nutter to fire L&I Commissioner Carlton Williams citing excessive overtime, dangerous illegal demolitions and non-permitted construction projects. Rosemont College Cuts Tuition 43%; Park in Camden for Papal Visit; Divine Lorraine Groundbreaking

Rosemont College has announced that it will cut tuition by 43% starting next year. The Main Line institution will lower the cost from $32,000 to $18,500. Room and board will also be lowered by $1,900. The liberal arts school wants to be more affordable for more students. Rosemont's president says that the current tuition is artificially high and that the majority of the students receive a discount. Financial aid will also be lower once the tuition is also lowered in 2016.

Yesterday the Phillies revealed their tribute to Pope Francis - his own rookie baseball card (pictured in the paw of the Phillie Phanatic). The Phillies are on track to lose 100 games this year, but the addition of Pope Francis to the fold can certainly lift spirits around the City of Brotherly Love.

A man died Monday night after he was stabbed in Wilmington, Delaware. Police say 27 year old Thomas Cottingham died protecting a woman and her child allegedly being chased by 25-year-old Calvin Hooker, III. Police say he allegedly had a knife and he was running after the woman pushing her infant in a stroller. The woman ran to the bus stop and boarded a bus when Cottingham stepped in to save her. A 15-year-old South Jersey boy was arrested last month by the FBI for making online threats against Pope Francis and his US visit. The unidentified boy sympathized with ISIS and communicated the desire to plan an attack involving guns and explosives.
