Philadelphia Police have arrested a man wanted for stealing laptops from a car belonging to campaign staffers for Hillary Clinton. The theft happened around 8 p.m. Friday along the 100 block of Brown Street in Northern Liberties. The computers were left in backpacks in their SUV when the the workers went to dinner nearby. SEPTA's request for an injunction to halt the strike by Transport Workers Union 234 members was temporarily denied by a judge in the Court of Common Pleas on Friday evening. SEPTA filed the lawsuit saying that the strike was a "clear and present danger to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Philadelphia and the region." Philadelphia Police have now charged a man with sexually assaulting two women in two separate occasions, where he offered them help finding a job. The suspect in custody is 31-year-old Irvin Harper. The first incident took place back in January when he offered a 19-year-old woman to help her find a job in cleaning services. SEPTA has filed a lawsuit in the Court of Common Pleas seeking an injunction to end the strike by the Transportation Workers Union 234. The suit asserts that it constitutes a "clear and present danger to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Philadelphia and the region." Republican Congressman Patrick Meehan asked for assistance from Attorney General Loretta Lynch to launch an investigation on FieldWorks LLC, which is a Democratic Grassroots Organization. The Philadelphia Eagles have released wide receiver Josh Huff two days after his arrest. He was pulled over for speeding on the Walt Whitman Bridge around 11 a.m. Tuesday. He was caught with a 9mm gun, a magazine with hollow point bullets and less that 50 g of marijuana. Yesterday, Coach Doug Pederson said they would wait and see before any discipline would be handled. With the third day of the SEPTA Strike here many citizens are hoping that the union and SEPTA officials will be able to reach an agreement so they can get back to their normal daily commutes. Congressman Bob Brady confirmed Wednesday night that SEPTA and union members are making progress. The two groups have been using a mediator as well as State Rep. Police have now arrested two men in connection with a street racing incident that killed a 3-year-old girl in the Kensington section of Philadelphia back in early August. The SEPTA strike is now in Day 2 as 4,700 bus, trolley, and subway workers are out of the driver seat and on the picket lines. Regional Rail lines experience delays this morning anywhere from 20-45 minutes as the only option for commuters to get into Center City.
