Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of December 21, 2019. This is Carey's 19th No. 1 song, 2nd to the Beatles who have 20. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" appeared on her 1994 album Merry Christmas. The last time a holiday song hit No. 1 was "The Chipmunk Song" in 1958-59.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after new video shows a large fight between Roxborough High School students on December 2nd along Ridge Ave. Male and Female students were involved in the melee. Students were seen throwing punches at one another. It started on the sidewalk and spilled into the street. Two female students who were fighting in the street were struck by a white van. Democratic New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew is planning to switch political parties and become a Republican. Van Drew represents New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District, including Atlantic and Cape May Counties. He has already gone against his caucus and voted against the impeachment inquiry and is expected to vote against articles of impeachment this coming week. Six staff members have resigned since Sunday, 12/16, citing the coming shift in party affiliation.

An elderly woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Northeast Philadelphia on Thursday evening, 12/12. It happened after 6 p.m. on Hendrick Street near Bustleton Avenue in the Somerton section. 82-year-old Yulia Sherman was found lying in the street with her roller bag of groceries. She had just left the Netcost Market at the Leo Mall. Medics pronounced her dead at the scene at 6:20 p.m. Police did find parts of a vehicle in the area. Witnesses on scene did not see the accident. Fayaadh Gillard had been charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime, unsworn falsification to authorities, and obstructing justice in the death of Suhail Gillard.
