Good Samaritans came to the aid of a woman who appeared to be under the influence while pushing her infant daughter into oncoming traffic. It happened on Tuesday afternoon, 5/14, near 52nd Street and Thompson. One man, Adolpus Carr said, "I had to double park and run out and grab her and she was falling over." Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced that he is filing a lawsuit against Purdue Pharma, the creator of prescription opioid Oxycotin. Pennsylvania joins 38 other states to file suit against the giant pharmaceutical company at least partially blaming it for the country's opioid epidemic. A contractor working at the intersection of Spring Garden and South Egg Harbor roads in Winslow Township, Camden County, hit a 6-inch gas main causing a leak on Tuesday, 5/14. Komen Foundation has hosted the Race for the Cure at the Philadelphia Art Museum to raise funds and bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer while celebrating survivors and remembering those who have passed. Philadelphia Police say that a 6-year-old girl who was believed to have been abducted in a stolen car earlier on Saturday afternoon, 5/11, has been found safe. It started at 2:20 p.m. when a navy blue Chevrolet Impala with the girl in the back seat was reported stolen from 56th and Warrington Streets in West Philadelphia. A Montgomery County jury has found the man accused of killing 36-year-old Main Line model Christina Kraft in her Ardmore apartment guilty of first degree murder. 31-year-old Jonathan Harris of Johnstown, PA, was also convicted of kidnapping, possession of an instrument of a crime, strangulation, robbery, theft, and receiving stolen property.
