SEPTA police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for two arsons on the Broad Street Line. They both happened on Saturday night, 10/9. The first fire was set around 11:05 p.m. at the Susquehanna-Dauphin Station. The man used a lighter to set a shirt and a cone on fire. He then boarded a train heading southbound. A Philadelphia judge has ordered the City of Philadelphia to remove the plywood box surrounding the statue of Christopher Columbus in Marconi Plaza on South Broad Street. Judge Paula Patrick of the Court of Common Pleas signed the order on Friday, 10/8, granting the appeal brought by the Friends of Marconi Plaza. New Jersey authorities have released police body cam video from a fatal police-involved shooting in Mantua Township last month. It happened around 1:35 a.m. September 14 on Elm Avenue. 49-year-old Charles Sharp III called 911 to report that several people were trespassing on his property including one person armed with a gun. The Philadelphia Flyers have narrowed down the list of potential new 'goal songs' to three finalists. Fans submitted more than 4,000 suggestions and nominations in the initial rounds. Different goal celebration songs were tried out at the Wells Fargo Center during preseason games to come up the three finalists. Fans now have a chance to participate in the final selection process by ranking the three songs from favorite to least favorite. The players will also have input in this process. Read More

A Philadelphia Police officer is under investigation after video from an encounter with a man walking on the street in North Philly on New Year's Eve has resurfaced on social media. "Officer Hoover" seems to be harassing the man recording the video. That man is trying to walk to his car from his relative's house. A hospital worker armed with multiple weapons, including an AR-15 rifle, entered Jefferson Hospital and shot a co-worker early Monday morning, 10/4. It happened just after midnight at Jefferson University Hospital at 11th and Chestnut in Center City.
