Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for spray painting racist graffiti on several Center City buildings early Sunday morning, 5/17. Police were called to the report of vandalism around 1:20 a.m. at the Coventry Deli on the 2000 block of Market Street. When they arrived they found two swastikas spray painted on the outside of the building. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said on Tuesday, 5/19, that he will sign a bill that would allow certain restaurants and bars to serve alcoholic drinks to go. The bill (HB 327 PN 3678) passed overwhelmingly in both the PA House (193-9) and Senate (48-0). Establishments must have a valid restaurant or hotel liquor license and lost more than 25% of their average monthly total sales. They would be permitted to sell mixed drinks from 4 ounces up to 64 ounces for off-premises consumption.... Read More

A man suspected of DUI is being charged with murder after a crash earlier this week killed a man and an unborn child. It happened before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, 5/13, on the 4900 block of Whitaker Avenue near Penway Street in Lawncrest. A Pennsylvania State Trooper was injured in a hit-and-run in the East Falls section of Philadelphia on Saturday morning, 5/16. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on the 3400 block of School House Lane near Apalogen Road. The trooper was on a motorcycle when he was struck by a car.
