The Philadelphia Folksong Society has released the initial lineup for this year's 55th Annual Philadelphia Folk Festival. As always, the fest will be held on the Old Pool Farm, in Upper Salford Township near Schwenksville, PA, on August 18-21. Notable acts include Los Lobos, The Lone Bellow, Darlingside, Buckwheat Zydeco, Buffy Sainte-Marie. Tickets are on sale now at pfs.org.

Rockin' the Schoolhouse 2016 show

Since 2012, Haverford teachers have performed concerts to raise money for Haverford High School's BLAST committee, which organizes Haverford's Senior Prom After-Party. These concerts have raised $2,700 and collected 320 items for Philabundance.

The quality of musicianship was so impressive; one forgets that some of these performers are only in sixth grade!
