Michael Vick will start at quarterback as soon as he is ready to return from broken ribs according to Andy Reid.

Will Vick be ready to face the Patriots Sunday? Reid wouldn’t commit, and says they’re taking it day by day. Vick was the first one to call Vince Young following the Eagles win over the Giants.

It will be a short week of practice for the Patriots as they’re the Monday Night game this week. Count on Eagles coaches studying the... Read More

Eagles Defeat the Giants in the Meadowlands - AGAIN

  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA
started: 11/21/11 8:33 am | updated: 11/21/11 8:33 am

Playing with backups and their back up against the playoff elimination wall, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Giants 17-10. The Birds overcame injuries to Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin, who did not play, as well as the mental breakdown of Desean Jackson's 50 yard taunting penalty to beat the New York Giants AGAIN in the Meadowlands.

LeSean McCoy found little room to run, and QB backup Vince Young did just enough to lead the Birds offense to 17 points. The defense played well,... Read More

The Flyers have been impressive on the road this season posting a 6-0-1 road record, but at home they are only 4-3-2. Currently behind the Penguins in the Atlantic Division, the Flyers need to make more out of the Philadelphia home ice advantage.

That needs to pick up, especially if the Flyers hope to eventually put some distance on rivals in the Atlantic Division. They trail the Penguins by two points in the standings.

“We talked about our home-ice... Read More

DeSean Jackson was deactivated for Sunday's loss to Arizona because he failed to attend a team meeting a day earlier. Initially, it was thought that Jackson simply overslept.

Jackson’s explanation on Monday didn't mention anything about sleeping too late. A team source said Sunday that the missed meeting wasn't the first incident of the season with Jackson.
Michael Vick suffered broken ribs in the loss and his status for Sunday night against the Giants is... Read More

Nine games into the season, and the Philadelphia Eagles are 3-6. Andy Reid promoted Juan Castillo from offensive line coach to defensive coordinator, and now the defense has gone from subpar last year, to awful this year.

The Eagles have blown five fourth-quarter leads. Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals and fourth quarter collapse was tied to penalties, mental errors, and physical mistakes.

Regarding the defense, Andy Reid says we have to fix it. ... Read More

Eagles Losing. Why? Vick?

  by: Rebel - Havertown, PA
started: 11/10/11 2:55 pm | updated: 11/10/11 2:55 pm

Why aren’t the Eagles winning? Is it Andy Reid? The defense? Offense? Some say it points to Michael Vick.

Lesser quarterbacks have more TDs than Vick’s 11. He stands in the middle of the pack or worse in nearly every major passing statistic. Vick has been another Eagle whose play has been decent but ultimately not good enough to win. Big plays have been missing.

Vick is completing 62 percent of his passes and has been more consistent than... Read More
