Abington Township police are looking for a suspect wanted for allegedly filming a woman inside a mall dressing room. It happened on August 29 inside a store at Willow Grove Park Mall. The young woman was trying on clothes when she noticed the suspect trying to film her under the door. She notified the store employees, but the man had fled. Police reviewed surveillance footage. The United States Supreme Court decided not to review the case involving supervised injection sites in Philadelphia. The case has gone back and forth between courts over the years. A U.S. appeals court most recently decided against allowing them. That is where it stands since the Supreme Court won't take up the case. A University of Delaware student has been arrested after he allegedly kidnapped and attacked a female student in his off-campus apartment on Friday, 10/8. 20-year-old Brandon Freyre of Maryland is charged with kidnapping second degree, assault second degree, strangulation, terroristic threatening, assault third degree, and criminal mischief. A Pennsylvania woman who was arrested last week and charged with killing her 87-year-old father and his girlfriend on Long Beach Island, NJ, says that she was framed. 55-year-old Sherry Lee Heffernan was taken into custody at her Landenberg, Chester County, home on October 4. SEPTA police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for two arsons on the Broad Street Line. They both happened on Saturday night, 10/9. The first fire was set around 11:05 p.m. at the Susquehanna-Dauphin Station. The man used a lighter to set a shirt and a cone on fire. He then boarded a train heading southbound. A Philadelphia judge has ordered the City of Philadelphia to remove the plywood box surrounding the statue of Christopher Columbus in Marconi Plaza on South Broad Street. Judge Paula Patrick of the Court of Common Pleas signed the order on Friday, 10/8, granting the appeal brought by the Friends of Marconi Plaza.
