Philadelphia Police have identified two suspects wanted for carjacking an elderly woman last week in South Philly. Police are searching for 18-year-old Briana Cruz-Gordon and 17-year-old Taniyah Watson. It happened on Wednesday, 1/27, on the 2600 block of South Bancroft Street. It was caught on surveillance video. The teens followed the 78-year-old woman and then pepper sprayed her. They took her keys and drove off in the woman's car. Cruz-Gordon is described as 5'3" tall, weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Watson is described as 5'5" tall, weighing 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. If you have any information, contact South Detectives at 215-686-3013 or call 911.

Due to an sharp increase in new positive coronavirus COVID-19 cases on campus since the start of the spring semester last week, 1/25, Villanova University has issued a two-week directive to all students to help slow the spread. "During this two-week period, students should continue to attend in-person classes and may utilize certain campus facilities and resources. Outside of instruction and essential purposes, students must stay in their own residence to the greatest extent possible and curtail in-person interactions with others outside their own room, apartment or household. Students are permitted outdoors to eat, exercise and get fresh air while remaining physically distant from others." Students will only be allowed in their own residence hall. Visitors are restricted. Individual rooms may only have 1 more person including the residents inside at any time. Students are also restricted from leaving campus, unless for employment or emergencies. Contact tracing found that a variety of social gatherings on and off campus are responsible for the spread. As of Thursday, 2/4, there are 444 positive cases.
