Police and SWAT units are on the scene of a barricade situation that is ongoing in Secane, Delaware County. Police arrived at the scene on Providence Road near Westwood Drive at around 2:30 pm on Friday. There is no word on what has led to the barricade situation, or if the person inside is armed. Service was suspended on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn line due to police activity near the line, but has since resumed. This is still an ongoing story.

UPDATE: The suspect was taken into custody. Police were serving a probation warrant to a man. He is not allowed to own weapons but had a large amount inside his home.

Police have now arrested a man who is responsible for injuring a woman after breaking into her Rhawnhurst home. The incident took place on the 2100 block of Strahle Street, at around 7:30 am on Friday. Police say that a suspect broke into the 49-year-old woman's apartment and ended up pistol-whipping her. The man did not take anything from the home, and he was later placed in police custody. The woman was taken to Nazareth Hospital and treated for minor injuries. Police are still investigating on whether the attacker knew the woman.

Jeffery Sandusky, the adopted son of former Penn State Assistant Football Coach Jerry Sandusky, has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Friday. Sandusky is being charged with solicitation of statutory sexual assault and solicitation of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. Sandusky has since been suspended without pay from his prison guard job and will continue to remain in a county jail near State College set on $200,000 bail. (*pictured)
