Police are now searching for a man who is responsible for stealing a woman's car that had her child still in it on Monday night. The incident happened around 9 pm on the 6400 block of Frankford Avenue in Mayfair. The woman had gotten out of her car to use the ATM, leaving her car on and her 6-year-old son in the back seat. While she was at the ATM the man jumped in the car and drove off. Police say the man abandoned the car, with the boy in it, on the 6500 block of Charles Street. The boy was unharmed and returned to his mother. Video cameras along Charles Street caught clear video of the man running away. Once he is found, he will most likely be charged with car theftand kidnapping.

SEPTA is now conducting emergency contract talks as employees of the transit company set to go on strike. Top members of the Transportation Workers Union and SEPTA officials met for a talk Tuesday afternoon, and it appeared they are apart on multiple issues. The issues on the table include fair pay raises, equal pension plans between workers and managers, fair benefit costs, and equal rotation of day and night shifts. If an agreement is not made by October 31st, members of the union are set to walk out. The union President Willie Brown commented saying he is not optimistic about the issues being resolved.

Atlantic City has now released a new 5 year plan that will hopefully help stabilize the city's budget problems. The plan was approved by the City Council on Monday night and was delivered to the Department of Community Affairs, where they will have a week to decide whether or not the plan is effective and could avoid a state takeover of day to day operations in the city. The plan includes: sparing tax increases on homeowners for 5 years, Bader Field is to be purchased by the city's water company, the Borgata would forgive one-third of the tax refunds it is due, as well as cutting 100 municipal jobs.
