24-year-old Zachary Tricoche was arraigned today in Camden County Superior Court on murder charges in the death of 2-year-old Jamil Baskerville Jr. Prosecutors allege that Tricoche was upset and got into an argument with his girlfriend, the boy's mother, for buying the wrong groceries. He punched the child in the chest so hard he flew into the wall. The boy got up and Tricoche punched him again knocking him unconscious. The mother called 911 around 11:30 pm Saturday to report the her son was unresponsive. Authorities responded to the 5900 block of Mansion Boulevard in Pennsauken and rushed the boy to Cooper University Hospital. He died shortly after midnight. The medical examiner determined that Jamil's liver had been crushed and he bled to death internally. Tricoche was ordered held for trial and bail was set at $1 million.

A woman was stabbed to death and her estranged husband is fighting for his life after a violent domestic incident in Collingswood, Camden County last night. It happened just before 8 pm at the Heights of Collingswood apartment complex at White Horse Pike and Collings Avenue. The couple had recently moved into the second floor unit along with three children. 36-year-old Joselyn Perez was found in the bedroom suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 41-year-old Timothy Moorman, also had multiple stab wounds which authorities are describing as self-inflicted. He is in critical condition at Cooper University Hospital. No word on what led up to the violence. Moorman has been charged with first degree murder. The children were not harmed.
