A 55-year-old man from Florida was arraigned on Saturday in the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Bensalem girl from 31 years ago. George Shaw Jr. was charged with homicide, rape, rape of an unconscious victim, and possession of an instrument of crime for the August 1984 Bucks County crime against Barbara Rowan. Rowan went missing at that time and her body was not discovered until weeks later. She babysat Shaw's 3-year-old daughter. Authorities say that Shaw was high on methamphetamine at the time. 51-year-old Robert Sanders is alleged to have helped Shaw dispose of the body. Already in jail on other crimes, Sanders told a grand jury last month his role in the crime and more details that gave prosecutors enough to arrest Shaw. Shaw was denied bail.

A missing Philadelphia teenager with autism was found safe today in Chester County. 19-year-old Connor David Baur went missing from his home on the 5100 block of Cottage Street. Police say he has the mental capacity of a six year old. He was found safe in Willistown Township Saturday evening. No other details regarding his disappearance were available.

A Southwest Philadelphia business was broken into just days after the owner was stabbed 30 times. 62-year-old Patrick Spinosa was attacked during an attempted robbery on Thursday night. It happened around 6 p.m. at the Southwest Auto Tag Service at 63rd and Dicks Avenue. It wasn't clear if the attackers made out with any money at that time. As Spinosa lay in a hospital bed at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center his business was targeted again. This time, burglars entered the building sometime overnight Friday/Saturday by pushing in an air conditioning unit. It is unclear if anything was taken but the business was tossed. This has been a family business in the same location for 40 years, but right now they are planning to board up the location and close the business.
