The Philadelphia 76ers showed their support for fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Robert Wilson III on Saturday night. The players wore t-shirts that read "Officer Wilson" on the front with a 'Philadelphia Police badge' on the back during their pre-game warmups at the Wells Fargo Center before taking on the Atlanta Hawks. Officer Wilson was killed on Thursday evening during an attempted robbery at a GameStop store in North Philadelphia. He was performing a security check at the location and buying a gift for his young son when two armed robbers entered and opened fire. His actions saved the lives of the customers and employees inside the store. Two brothers, 30-year-old Carlton Hipps and 26-year-old Ramone Williams, have been arrested and charged with first degree murder. Williams was arraigned on Saturday morning. Hipps is still hospitalized after getting shot during the exchange. He is handcuffed to the bed with Wilson's cuffs. A remembrance mass will be held Sunday at 10 am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 2340 West Lehigh Ave, Philadelphia, PA.

During an appearance at the Philadelphia Flower Show on Friday, Actor/Comedian Dan Aykroyd said he would make a donation for Officer Wilson's two children (8 and 1). A fight in Old City early on Saturday morning turned into a brawl and eventually a shooting. Police officers responding to the scene opened fire on a vehicle fleeing the scene that was driving on the sidewalk down the wrong way of a one way street.

It all started as a group of friends leaving the clubs around 2 a.m. was walking to their cars. Two females were grabbed and threatened by another man. A fight broke out and then grew as more others joined. Guns shots rang out and everyone scattered. The female's boyfriend, his brother, and a friend got into a black Cadillac and sped off. The women got into another car.

Police officers driving eastbound on Chestnut Street encountered the Cadillac coming towards them the wrong way. The Cadillac drove up onto the sidewalk to avoid oncoming traffic. Officers opened fire on the approaching vehicle. It crashed into a cyclone fence at a construction site near 3rd and Chestnut. None of the three occupants were hit by the gunfire. They were all taken into custody. The two passengers, ages 24 and 30 years old, were released. The driver will most likely be charged with reckless driving. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave as Internal Affairs investigates.

Back at the scene of the initial shooting, a 28-year-old male was struck. He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital and is in stable condition. Investigators found four 9mm guns. Central Detective Division is investigating the scene of the brawl and initial shooting.

Police are investigating after two dead bodies were discovered in a Pleasantville, NJ hotel room. The two unknown people were found at 3:47 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Best Western Hotel on the 700 block of W. Black Horse Pike. They were pronounced dead at the scene. There identities have not been released. The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information should call Pleasantville Detectives at 609-641-6100 or Crimestoppers at 609-652-1234.
