Snow Emergency Lifted; Melissa Rivers Lawsuit Over Joan's Death; Drone Penetration at White House

Yesterday, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter announced that a Snow Emergency would go into effect 6:00 p.m. Monday evening to prepare for the incoming snow storm. That snow emergency was called off at 6:00 this morning. Cars can now begin to park on snow emergency routes that were previously off limits. If your car has been relocated you can call 215-686-SNOW to find out where it has been moved to.

Joan Rivers daughter, Melissa has filed a lawsuit over the death of her mother. The lawsuit alleges that doctors performed unauthorized medical procedures during 81 year old Rivers’ routine endoscopy. According to the suit, doctors at Yorkville Endoscopy were careless, mishandled the comedian while she was unconscious and took selfies with her body.

The Obama administration is considering putting limitations on domestic drone operators. It hit close to home this week when an unmanned drone crashed on the south side of the White House property. The two foot long, remote controlled drone with 4 propellers turned out to belong to a hobbyist who lost control of it. The incident underscores the need for controls and showed how easily a drone can penetrate the White House security bubble
