Police are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday night in the Olney section of the city. This happened just before 9:30 p.m. on the 700 block of East Olney Avenue. A 30-year-old man was shot once in the stomach and taken to Einstein Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition. Police have not released any information yet on possible motives or suspects.

A half-naked man calling himself "the Messiah" caused disturbances on Columbus Boulevard early Sunday morning. The 57-year-old man was was banging on passing vehicles and fell over when one of them opened their door. It was later determined the man became delusional after mixing his new medication with alcohol (he suffers from PTSD and depression). He was taken to Jefferson Hospital for treatment.

The boys from Broomall-Newtown deserve recognition, as the team of 13-year-olds won the Babe Ruth World Series. The Babe Ruth League is for kids who want to continue playing organized baseball beyond Little League. The team of 13-year-olds went 20-1 in tournament play. Shortstop Jim White went 3-4 with 4 RBIs in the championship game.
