Murder Plea in Drain Cleaner Infant Death, No Hall of Fame Inductees, Coke Bust of Murder Suspect

An intellectually disabled Philadelphia man pleaded guilty today in the death of a 20 month old baby boy back in 2010. The Logan man rubbed Drano on the baby’s skin while giving him a bath. 36 year old Aaron Pace was babysitting for family friends and the baby boy was fussing in the bathtub. The burned baby suffered for 5 days before he died. The third degree murder plea may mean 35 years in prison. Pace's IQ, according to his attorney, is between 57 and 63.

There will be no new inductees this year to Baseball’s Hall of Fame. Suspected steroid use is a big reason. This year Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and Sammy Sosa became eligible, but none of them received enough votes to get in. This is only the second time in four decades that no players were elected for Cooperstown. Curt Schilling and Mike Piazza also fell short of the 75% ballot needed.

A murder suspect in Camden County out on bail admitted in federal court today that he tried to purchase 13 kilos – that’s over 28 pounds – of cocaine with the intent to distribute it in New Jersey. 40 year old Jamal Herrin rounded up about $325,000 to complete the purchase. Herrin faces between 10 years and life in prison.

Weather
